This software is being developed in support of the work of the UAP Science Advisory Council as well as the Galileo Project. mcDonald is fully deterministic and intended to study UAP videos with the same rigor as other problems in science.

Questions, problems, and results that look wrong are welcome as issues on GitHub. See the Contribute page for details.

Status: early test version (0.3.8), tried on Linux and macOS, and on Windows so far only by its automatic tests.

Support

mcdonald is free and open source. To support its development, you can donate to the mcDonald UAP Toolkit through Blue Marble Space, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

James McDonald

"Science is in default for having failed to mount any truly adequate studies of this problem."

— James E. McDonald

James McDonald (1920-1971) was a professor of meteorology at the University of Arizona and a member of the National Academy of Sciences. He advocated for serious scientific study of the UFO/UAP problem and conducted his own investigations of Project Blue Book and unexplained cases. His paper "Science in Default" remains a template for approaching UAP with the curiosity and scrutiny of a scientist.
